The Palisades High Alumni
Association has a
strict policy that prohibits us to give out, share, or sell alum addresses
- even to other
alums!
The only person we will give your information to is your reunion
organizing committee, at the time that planning for your event is in the
process. We do no respond to requests for individuals personal contact
information.
Dolphins -
If you did not receive
information regarding your last class reunion, or if you have never been
contacted by a class committee about a reunion....
If you have moved since your last reunion or have an upcoming 10 year
reunion, and your address has changed from what it was during high school
(your parents address)...
Please make sure to e-mail the PHAA with your first, (maiden), last name
and your graduating year. Please note that the alumni association does not
plan reunions, we do not contact alums nor send out information to alums;
unless we do a flyer or newsletter - which we have actually phased out
over the past year due to lack of alum participation.
If information is provided to us by your class' reunion committee it is
posted on our website. Please do not contact the Alumni Association asking
why you were not notified about your reunion. The way any individual
reunion committee undertakes notifying, searching for, etc. their
classmates is up to the individual class - the PHAA plays no part in that
other than to post the information as it is known to us.
If there is a class
representative below on this page, please make sure to send all of your
information to them too!
Class reunion committees -
Please be sure to inform the
school when you have a reunion in the works. The alumni association tries
to make sure that the school is notified but it is your job to do this!
Please
keep your
information current with the PHAA -
You can e-mail the
PHAA as we keep a
master database however, this tool only works if individuals keep their
information current.
We only have about 11,000 addresses out of 42 years of graduates, and
every
year we receive about 1,000 pieces of mail returned to us!
Help the PHAA
and your classmates -
We
need
one person from each class to serve as their
class'
representative and the contact person for the alumni association. Anyone contacting the
PHAA
regarding your class will be directed to their representative. The
representative should be a reunion chairperson or committee member, however,
anyone willing to accept responsibility for their class' database is okay with us!
We have
the ability to host additional pages for your class'
reunion, for instance to list your lost classmates. A donation to the PHAA
is involved, see the
Sponsors Page and e-mail us for more
information.
Help others
if you see a name on a lost classmates list (on the
individual class pages) and know the whereabouts of that person, or simply
have a lead on someone listed - Please contact the class representative.
Networking and helping one another is the true purpose of setting up this
website! All leads are appreciated by the individual reunion committees!
Let's get the names off these lists so that all alums know about their
reunions, and have the opportunity to attend them!
As you can imagine,
one of the most time consuming and difficult tasks when planning a
reunion, is searching for lost classmates! As years
pass, this task becomes even more difficult. Volunteers often spend hours
trying to track down just one person, often with no success. Some
classes don't have the volunteers willing to do this. Others actually
pay a service to perform this task, and have to pay regardless of the
success rate. All of this is really unnecessary!
If you see someone on a lost
classmates list, please contact the class representative and share your
information with them, or have the individual contact the representative
directly. Let them know you saw the person's name on our website, so that
the representative can contact us with updates, especially to remove your
name from a lost classmate list, if we are hosting one for your class.
